Dr Daniel Yang

Dr Daniel Yang (FFPMANZCA, FRACGP) is a Specialist Pain Medicine Physician who provides comprehensive assessment and management of acute and persistent pain conditions using a structured, multidisciplinary and evidence-based approach. He has particular expertise in fluoroscopy-guided spinal and peripheral pain interventions aimed at improving function, mobility and quality of life.

Dr Yang completed his medical degree at The University of Western Australia and undertook his internship and residency primarily at Royal Perth Hospital. He subsequently obtained Fellowship of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP), reflecting his strong interest in whole-person, holistic and longitudinal patient care.

He later completed specialist training in Pain Medicine across Australia and New Zealand, beginning at Middlemore Hospital in Auckland before completing advanced training at Royal Perth Hospital, Sir Charles Gairdner and Osborne Park Health Care Group, and Joondalup Health Campus. As part of his training, he was selected to undertake an Interventional Pain Fellowship and undertook the Faculty of Pain Medicine Procedures Endorsement Program. His procedural practice includes radiofrequency neurotomy, facet joint interventions, nerve root sleeve injections, epidural injections and other image-guided spinal procedures.

Dr Yang currently holds a public appointment as a Consultant Pain Medicine Physician at Royal Perth Hospital and is also part of the Acute Pain Service at Joondalup Health Campus. He works closely with General Practitioners, allied health professionals and other Medical and Surgical Specialists when required to develop individualised treatment plans focused on functional improvement and sustainable long-term pain management outcomes.

Dr Yang is fluent in Mandarin and is happy to consult with Mandarin-speaking patients where preferred.
